Legal Question in Family Law in New York

Large Inheritance

The change can be the result of changes in the parent's financial situation - such as appreciable difference in the amount of income earned, loss of a job, a large inheritance, or a change in the amount of time spent with the child.

I found this on another web page. My ex recieved a very large inheritance, and obviously does not need my $. Should I talk to somebody about this?

Thanks in advance.

Re: Large Inheritance

It depends. I would need to see the existing Order or Judgment before I can advise you.

Please feel free to call me if you would like to schedule a consultation.

FYI - I practice in NYC and Long Island.
