Legal Question in Family Law in New York

Laws relating to false accusations of sexual abuse of a child?

I am hoping to confirm what I have heard about a certain NY law pertaining to accusations of sexual abuse of a child.

Example - Mom and Dad are divorcing, Mom states that Dad is sexually abusing their young child.

Law in this case would say that if Mom has made false accusations, then she automatically loses custody of the child. Is there really a law that removes custody of an accusing parent?

Simply put, the law dealing with custody is what is in the best interest of the child.
