Legal Question in Family Law in New York

What's legal.

Is it legal for a judge in a divorce action to enter a final judgment of divorce, which grants the plaintiff ancillary relief, orders that the plaintiff can set the defendents personal property in the lobby of the building after granting exclusive possession of the marital premises to the plaintiff, then months later hold a trial for equitable distribution in which the only issue entertained by the court is the pension fund of the plaintiff and her debts, overrules the defense motion to include all assets of the plaintiff, uses the testimony of the plaintiff as proof of expenses, overruling the defense motion to see doucmentation of expense, and never requiring and overruling any motion to demand full disclosure by the plaintiff?
