what is the legal procedure when your child has been removed from your custody due to an abuse or neglect allegation?

There is a hearing before the Family Court at which ACS will present evidence supporting the neglect accusation and you will be afforded the opportunity to rebut it. You should retain an attorney for this process - which is difficult at best.
