Legal Question in Family Law in New York

What is Lincoln Hearing in a child custody. And who is subjected to the Lincoln Hearing. Who in a child custody does it involve. And where does it take place. And can the custodial/primary parent. Have the chiilds education advocate sit in on the lincoln hearing to be with the child. Because the child just turned 5 years old, and the child has special needs.

A Lincoln hearing is a hearing in chambers in which the judge interviews the child(ren) in a custody case. This interview is outside the presence of attorneys.
