what should I do?

I live in Bronx NY, and my husband has

just served me with a form UD-7

Affadavit of defendant in action for

divorce. How do I prove abandonment?

Do I need a lawyer?

A UD-7 Form is a form provided by a defendant when he neither admits nor denies the allegations and consents to a divorce.

To explain documents needed for an uncontested divorce in this forum is too difficult. You can either try to handle this matter yourself by using the forms listed at www.courts.state.ny.us/ip/matrimonial-matters/forms.shtml, or you can contact my office to prepare and file the divorce forms. I charge a flat fee for uncontested divorce matters.
