Legal Question in Family Law in New York
I live in Staten Island, NY and my sons father and grandparents live in PA. I currently have sole custody and my sons grandparents have visitation rights (being that his father is present) every other weekend. My son is 11 and does not want to spend every other weekend in PA anymore, understandably. Because he doesnt want to go, they are threatening to take me back to court for joint custody. My son has seen his father once in the past year. What rights do I have? I am also currently only receiving $200 a month in child support, which isnt cutting it anymore. Please help. Thank you!

You will need to file a petition in the family court for a modification of the visitation order. If you have not had a cost of living adjustment in the last three years, you can go to the family court and request one. Otherwise, you can file a petition for a modification of the child support order.
