Legal Question in Family Law in New York

I need to locate my sons biological father. He has a parole officer and will not serve him paternity and child support papers. What can I do to find him? He is in Rochester, NY I am in New York City. What will happen to my case if the court cannot locate him?

If he cannot be located after you provide proof that you conducted a certain set of required searches, you can file a motion to proceed by publication. This is a long and expensive process. Contact a lawyer who is familiar with this procedure. I do these all the time.
