Legal Question in Family Law in New York

Where is the Long Island Metropolitan area? My divorce agreemnet states thats where my ex can move our child to but she is planning to move to New Jersey and I don't think that was part of our agreement

A move out of the State of New York would have to be permitted by the courts or by your agreement only. You may want to file an Order to Show Cause to prevent your ex-wife from removing the child from the State of New York, let alone Long Island.

The agreement is extemely vague. However, arguably, it would be limited to Long Island and NYC. However, I agree with the prior answer. Force her to show that any part of New Jersey includes the Long Island Metro Area.
