Re: losing divorce trail

The first rule of divorce law is to settle as much as possible. You don't want to take the grounds for divorce to trial. Think about it: do you really want to prove your allegations in open court?

If you are concerned about property division, you can settle on grounds, and have a property division trial. In NYS, all property aquired after commencement of the divorce action is separate property.
