Legal Question in Family Law in New York

I was married for only 3yrs settled divorce in 99 we agreed on me paying 4,000.00 out of my pension to her onetime deal when I retire for NYC Police dept I only did 14yrs and was given a disability pension due to 9/11. Now Jan,08 I get a letter stating I have to give her a percent of my disability pension for the rest of my life. I am not allowed to work anymore and I'm not even making my mortgage and have new born to feed. can u help me how this is possible.

Doesn't sound right.You don't say who the letter was from?
