hello my name is marcia, i would like to know how can i get the total custody of my kid, shes 3 years old. the father received a letter from court sayin that if in 4 months he dont pay 15.000 hes going to jail. i also want to know that if i get the custody , is the father gonna be able to see the kid even if i dont want to? and my last question is how can i change my kid last name , the fathers last name?? thanks a lot...or if theres any way that my father can ddopt my kid ???

Do you and the biological father have joint custody?
You can petition the court for sole custody of your child.
You can also petition the court to terminate the biological father's parental rights. This will prevent him from visiting with the child. However, the biological father will probably fight you.
Terminating the biological father's parental rights will also open the door for you to change the child's last name without his consent.
