Legal Question in Family Law in New York

If I was married in China, Live and work in New York City the past several years and I want to get rights to my tow children and perhaps get a divorce, do I need to divorce in China? and what rights do I have to see my children?

You can certainly get a divorce here rather than going back to China - but the primary question is: where are your children living.
