My ex and i were never married and there is no custody agreement. Can i move out of state?

That's a question that is more complex than it looks. If you your ex wants to try to block the move, he or she can file a petition with the Family Court, alleging that the move will interfere with your parental rights. Whether that petition will be successful depends upon a number of factors too complex to explore here.
