i am married with kids, separated not yet divorce and want to bUy a home, while living with my spouse i took care of everything, rent, private school, help with the grocery, clothings, pick up kids from school, feed them, help with homework, parents teachers meeting, payment of timeshare all by my self, she makes over 30k a year only pay cable bill $195 and electricity $80 a month, she has not help with the process of buying a home , i saved for down payment, my name is on the loan i will be paying mortgage by my self, is there a process i can take to stop my spouse from claiming part of the property even though she has not contributed to anything, if yes please let me know what form, and prices also attorney information if need to contact

A. No. However, New York law provides for equitable (fair) distribution and not equal distribution. Therefore, the marital property may not be divided 50/50.
