Legal Question in Family Law in New York

''Now what do I do?''

I am a married woman and the mother of 3 children. My husband of 24 years has had many problems. He has had legal problems in which he was on probation for three years. He also has had a gambling problem. You name it he did it. He has had a mistress for about 2 years. He left last year for 7 months but came back home last November. Well a year later, I find out that he has a 1 year old child and another on the way. What are my legal options in regards to my home- the deed is now in my name only and he states that he will not leave because he is self-employeed out of this residence. Also, what is he entitled to and and what are his ''other'' children entitled to? He does not consider them his children so what would he be entitled to do for them that will not affect me or my three children? The mistress is not a citizen and therefore, what legal rights does she have? I am sure they are not many but since her children would be considered citizens- if she goes back to Russia- do they stay and I have to assume responsibilty of them because we are still married? I only stayed with my husband for the sake of my children but now I need some legal advice in order to protect myself and my children. Thank you and I hope you can help.

You have too many questions to answer in this type of a forum.

My suggestion is that you privately consult with an attorney.
