Legal Question in Family Law in New York

I have been married just over a year, if i move out of the house which is in my husbands name and take our 5 month old and my belongings, what actions can he take against me? Can he call the police, or change the locks?

You have equal rights to the house and can possibly get the court to throw him out. He can call the police regarding custody of the child if you disappear, and he can change the locks. You need to talk to legal aid or hire a lawyer. Good luck!
