Legal Question in Family Law in New York

I was married 10 years ago. during the first year I purchased a business using funds that I had prior to the marriage. At the time my wife insisted that her name be added to the deed. The business was bought for cash. Shortly after this we separated and have not lived together for nearly 7 years. I have tried to file divorce papers but she will not sign it. She wants money. I gave her a house. My question is she says she wants money from the business. She says she will sue me for it. Can she? I just want out and my attorney is not making this happen. I have already spent $5K for nothing. What can I do now? I don't feel she is entitled to anything.

She is indeed entitled to a portion of the business. As a most basic matter- her name is on the deed. How much she is entitled to is a more complicated answer.
