Legal Question in Family Law in New York

I have been married for 30years , just had relocated with husband to FL from SC on July went to my family reunion in PR with my youngest had round trip tickets , then my husband tells me I gave up the apartment and im out . he moved into a hotel for a while and then drove off in the family car to SC . Has taken furniture . I decided to go to NY with a relative but this state is too expensive for me and my child, he is not support us since July and already has an apt. in SC . I want to inform myself on Child Support and Alimony for myself.

If you are in New York with the child for more than 6 months, New York is your child's home state. Is there a current order of Child Support that he is not paying? If not, you can certainly file a new petition here in New York State.
