medical bills for children

xwife submitted receipts (some legit/some not) i paid her everything and then some with the childrens names and dates. other receipts were for her meds or bills that were being paid by ins while some bills were from 97, 2000, 2002 etc (i pay as of 06) she cannot provide receipts for her claim of $453 in medical, returned my check for legit bill and now is taking me to small claims court. what can i do? was thinking of having my attorney write a letter.

Go to small claims court. Have all paid receipts handy. Have check wife returned. You will have the opportunity to conference the case before a trial. During the conference explain your situation. You should be able to settle your case.
