Legal Question in Family Law in New York

i am in the middle of a divorce and my husbandhas been calling me multible times a day. he has called me at work home and on my cell phone sometimes leaving innappropriate messages.he has also been diving past my house at all hours of the night and has had other people run onto my property through neighbors yards. he has not been living at my house for some time but his name is still on the lease. i have called the police and they told me unless he destroy propert or harms me they cannot do anything about this because he is still considered being on his property. what can be done about this harassment?

Legally, you may seek an Order of Protection. However, you will need proof. This means filming people that are running on your yard, taping messages that are inappropriate, and having a witness testify as to your husband's harassment.

It may be cheaper and easier to change your telephone number and not give the new number to your husband.
