Legal Question in Family Law in New York

can a minor become a medical proxy or next of kin for a parent? if a parent is in a coma can the 16 year old make medical decisions if there are no other relatives? same goes for power of attorney.

No, a minor is not legally allowed to do any of the things that you list unless they are given permission by a court and that would be extremely difficult to receive.
