Modification of Divorce Decree

In 1999, my ex-husband and myself got divorced. I presently have very serious financial obligatiions and am unemployed. Would it be possible to do a modification of the divorce decree, with him having court ordered alimony? I realize this is probably a first, an ex-husband voluntarily wanting to pay alimony! Instead of going into details of our situation, could it legally be accomplished, if so how long would it take? Please hurry with a response. We only have 30 days to complete this. Understand, we are best friends, and he wants to help me!

If it's on consent of both parties, the court would almost certainly accept the modification.
