Legal Question in Family Law in New York

mother want to take child out of state

my husband and i have sole custody of a 17 yr old child an the visitions with the mother while she lived new york were agreed between the parties.she moved to pennsylvania and there was a death in the family and she wants to come and get her without our permission. what are rights? we are going to take the child but cant til friday night...

Sole custody means YOU decide where/when/if/ the child travels to PA. The Mother has lost/given up those legal decision making rights.
