Legal Question in Family Law in New York

Is it possible for a mother who has full custody and lives in NJ move to a farther state like Texas while the father lives in NY and has already a court order stating the father gets visitation every weekend.

You will need to file a petition for relocation. I would need to see the court order to determine if the petition needs to be filed in New York or New Jersey. As to whether you will succeed on the merits of the petition, that depends on a number of factors, such as whether the father actually visits with the child every weekend, and what is the reason for the relocation request to Texas.
