Legal Question in Family Law in New York

If a mother moves several hours away with the child and gives no address and does not answer at the phone number given, what can the father do to regain his visitation as well as have phone contact with the child? The father has no way to contact the child, to ensure she is alright (CPS has been called on the mother at least once), or to have his visitation. This has been going on for 4 months now. The father has gone to the local police and attempted to file a missing child claim, but they told him it was a family court matter. Since another court bout could take a ot lore time, what legal recourse does the father have?

Family Court is your ONLY option. If you have a Family Court order of visitation or a Stip from a divorce, you can get an order of enforcement. If you don't, you must file a petition in family court for visitation. Either way, Family Court is your only legal recourse.
