Legal Question in Family Law in New York

My mother has supported me all my life but we have argued for a long time, with sometimes her getting violent but nothing to crazy. However in a recent argument I was punched, I have moved out of the house and am staying with a friend, I am 18 what do I have to do to get the support check from my father sent to me in my name and is there anyway to get support from her as I am continuing my education into College, currently a senior in high school scheduled to graduate in June, moving in with my father is not an option due to the fact he lives out of town and the classes I take are not offered at his school which would not allow me to graduate on time.
