MY SONS FATHER AND I ARE NOT MARRIED BUT HAVE LIVED TOGETHER FOR 8 YEARS, WE HAVE BOTH DECIDED TO SEPARATE, WE LIVE IN NY AND I WANT TO MOVE MY SON AND i TO FLORIDA, CAN HE STOP ME?

The father may be able to prevent you from re-locating. You will have to show that the re-location is in the best interests of the child.

Relocation is not a right. Relocating will impose on the father's visitation, therefore you would need the courts permission.
