If a NCP has requested a reduction of child support. If he was fired from the original job and has since gone thru several can he get it reduced? Does it matter if he owes ($7000) in arrears?

Q. If he was fired from the original job and has since gone thru several can he get it reduced?

A. Maybe. However, it is my experience that Courts do not generally reduce child support.

Q. Does it matter if he owes ($7000) in arrears?

A. Absolutely. Furthermore, a reduction in CS does not reduce arrears.
