Legal Question in Family Law in New York

I am the non-custodial parent/father of a 5 year old child. Her mother is the custodial parent and I have joint physical custody with her. She has full legal custody (I have no say in her medical, educational care, etc.) Whenever she makes plans for herself, if I am unable to stay with my daughter, she threatens that she will just drop her at my doorstep, even if my wife is the only one home, and she has no legal rights/responsibilities to my daughter. Is this considered abandonment since she is the custodial parent?
