Legal Question in Family Law in New York

note of issues

My friend would like to know where can he go to find out if a not of issue was filed and if proof of service to the opposing party is required. Should he look in the minute printout of the county clerks office to find this info or where should he look?

Re: note of issues

Proof of service is always required.

Your friend can look in the County Clerk's file, but the simplest thing is to ask his attorney for a copy.

If he doesn't have an attorney, he should look in the phonebook [or in Law Guru]and get one.
