Legal Question in Family Law in New York

How to get a NY divorce if not living in the USA

A couple got married in 1979 in NY, been separated for more tha 20 years but at present not living in the USA, nor been a US Resident or US Citizen but able to travel to the USA with a Tourist visa. Is there a way to get a divorce, either in the US or back in their country where they are living right now Colombia, South America)?. If yes, can you tell me the easiest and less costly way to do it.

thanks for your help

You can get a divorce in Columbia that is legal in America. Just get a normal Columbia divorce and it will be valid in NY.

If you want to get a NY divorce, I am available for $400. It is not difficult.

The least costly method may be a totally uncontested divorce in N.Y.This assumes no children nor any assets to be distributed. If so the cost can be under $1000 dollars. For more info you may contact my office @718-834-0087.
