Legal Question in Family Law in New York
If NY is not a nofault divorce state, why after being married for 41 years, not receive any support from my spouse? I am being served divorce papers in the next few days and have been wondering about this. While married income from both was our money to raisefour kids, pay for college and weddings and yet I get nothing out of it.

What makes you think you get nothing out of it? Consult a local divorce attorney quickly before you give up any rights!

You are misinformed. After 41 years of marriage and raising four children you are absolutely entitled to a share of all the marital assets. You should consult with a divorce attorney immediately.
