Legal Question in Family Law in New York
NYS contested divorce
I have been to court as the plaintiff in a divorce case. The proceedings began two years after my husband moved out of our home. Grounds were abandonment. My estranged husband represented himself, contested the divorce and the divorce was denied. I have no other grounds other than the fact that he moved out in June, 2004. I have since consulted with three divorce attorneys who all tell me that my hands are tied. Is there anything I can do to facilitate a divorce from this man?

There is much more informatioon needed before an analysis can be made. What did the attorneys base their opinions on?
Re: NYS contested divorce
There certainly are things you can do to obtain a divorce - your hands are not tied, however, as Mr. Bloodsaw indicated, precisely what those things are depend on a couple of facts which are not included in your question.
