order of protection

if one party has an order of protectin placed against the OTHER party, are there any consequences on either party if the party who PLACED the order of protection went to visit the person they placed it against?

Re: order of protection

It would be extremely unlikely, for two reasons:

1) The person who had the order placed would have to complain to the court/police in order for any action to be taken, and if he or she voluntarily visited the defendant, he or she would be unlikely to complain.

2) If the person did complain, an excellent defense would be that the defendant was merely sitting in his/her home and was visited by the complainant, thus meaning that the defendant had done nothing to violate the order.
