Legal Question in Family Law in New York

I was orderded to sell the marital residense on the belief we had an agreement for divorce. The agreement was never signed nor acted on by the court and yet the house was still sold. No speration, no divorce, nothing. In NY is this not wrong and do I have any options for recourse?
