Legal Question in Family Law in New York
I have a ordered divorce dercree with custody and visitation outlined. My ex-husband has modified the visitation decree to his liking. I recently put in a petition to have a structred pick up and drop off time and for him to adhere to the divorce decree without him always tryning to modifly it unless it is ordered through the court. He contested the petition and chose to get a lawyer for representation. I told the judge I could represent myself. My question is with such a small matter do you think I need a lawyer to represent me or is this a matter I can handle on my own. Im a very resourceful person and have no problem with speaking on my own behalf.
