Parent liability for child debt in NYS

Are parents liable for credit card debt of a child 18 years old should the child default?

depends on whether you co-signed for the credit card or if you have been paying for all of your child's other debts you can be deemed to be liable. You should seek an attorney now to discuss your rights.
