Parental dna

I have a ex-girlfriend who lives in maine.She had a child in 1999 and has filed for support and dna.The state of maine has dropped this case and now she has filed in NYS where i live.I just recently was served papers for this matter.8 years later i never knew she had a child is there a statue of limitations on this? She has also asked for support with no contact since she claims would hurt him.

No SOL in your case at 8 yrs.

If the child is yours you will be required to pay support.

However, you can/should petition for visitatiton with the child.
