Legal Question in Family Law in New York

Parental Rights vs. Child Support

I had a child with a man with whom I had a brief relationship (two months). He did not want the child and gave up custody at the time of birth two years ago, but has been paying child support since then. He has seen our son only two to three times since birth and is now thinking about giving up all parental rights. If he does give up parental rights, is he still legally obligated to pay child support? Thank you.

Re: Parental Rights vs. Child Support
