Re: Parental/grandparents rights
1. A contract would not be the most appropriate way to handle turning over responsibility for raising a child to a grandparent.
2. The biological father's rights with regard to the child would be a factor in the process. However, if the father has already given up his rights, whether formally or by abandonment, would be an issue that needs detailed exploration.
3. Not necessarily - but without more information, it's hard to determine whether this can be handled routinely and inexpensively, or whether it may run into opposition, which drives up the cost.
