My friend has doubts about the paternity of his son.He has visitations with him regularly. Is he legally able to take the child to get this checked without the mothers knowledge or does he need an order from a judge do do this? What is the process?

Re: Paternity
He would need to go to court to request a "filiation" proceeding, where a DNA test may be ordered. However, if he has been visiting with the child and supporting him for some time, and the child is old enough to know him as his father, he might be prevented from denying.
Re: Paternity
Even if paternity test favors your friend who was her husband then, the law is biased against him even now in the modern educated learned age of enlightenment as it then was in the ancient uneducated illiterate age of darkness. He thus needs a nontraditional lawyer to help win the impossible yet doable by a nontraditional lawyer who both knows and also dares to bring an unprecedented constitutional challenge to that predatory law.
