Legal Question in Family Law in New York

Paternity

In the 80's a blood test was taken for a child support paternity test. The test came back 80-90% positve I was the father. Now the standard method of paternity is DNA testing. I do not believe I am the father but yet the court will not allow a new DNA test to prove beyond doubt that I am or am not. I do pay my child support and do not have any contact with the child or mother. Is there anyone that can help or a modification/appeal I can use to get a new test?

Re: Paternity

Your time for appealing the originial termination is several years past.

Thus, the matter of YOUR paternity with respect to this child, has properly been deemed by the Courts, as FOREVER closed.

Of course, You may privately choose to test yourself and the child for paternity. But, whatever the test result, it WILL NOT have any "legal" meaning or consequence, to your established "natural father" status for this child.

Good luck,
