Legal Question in Family Law in New York
I have been paying child support to a child in which I believe is not mine. I don't know where the child and mother are living. I am not in the child's life and no longer have the means to have any communication with the mother.
I want to make a request that a blood test is done as to verify the actual origin of the child. I don't know what I would do legally to make the child have a blood test done. How do I go about issuing this request?

You may have a problem, especially if you have been paying child support for several years. Under the law, you would be "estopped" from denying paternity.
Nevertheless, to answer your question, you would be filing a petition with the Family Court.
