pension sharing in divorce

under n.y. state divorce does a wife have a right to a share of her husbands pension after 26 years of marriage when she has no pension of her own?

Yes, but she will need a court order (QDRO) sent to pension planners. This is usually done BEFORE the divorce judgment is final.
