pension/retirement funds

I became an independent contractor with a company after my husband and I were married because I no longer needed medical benefits and did not have a pension or retirement plan. Am I entitled to medical benefits and half of his 401K/annuity funds after we get divorced?

You are entitled to 1/2 of the portion of retirement funds earned during the marriage (marital property). You are not entitled to medical benefits but can try to negotiate it in the divorce agreement.
