Legal Question in Family Law in New York

I had a petition in child support court in NY, which was found in my favor back to the date of filing, but payments were not held until the 2nd hearing (~ 3 months),and I didn't recieve the money from that time period, although awarded. Is there a legal process to get the money, and is there some any kind of time limits? Thank You

Your family court order should state that payments are retroactive to the date that you filed the original petition. If it does state this then you need to file objections. You only have 30 days to file objections.
