Plaintiff, Complaining of Defendant

I need help in understanding New York State law and how it works in the following cases:

1. CSSA guidelines.

2. Continue to maintain health insurance.

3. Responsible for a proportionate share of the following:

a. Medical expenses incurred on behalf of child which are not covered by insuracne.

b. Pay a proportionate share of the college expenses not covered by financial aid.

c. Determining of separate property and equitable distribution of marital property.

I have no attorney and did not beleive that I needed one. Bottom line should I get an attorney? I live in Flordia now. Thank you for your support.

Re: Plaintiff, Complaining of Defendant

You indicate that you are living in FL while going through a NY divorce in which you do not understand your rights and liabilites for child support, maintenance and equitable distribution; you need to discuss your situation with a qualified attorney right away, and you should probably hire one to represent you as soon as possible. Feel free to call my office for an appointment.
