Legal Question in Family Law in New York

Prenuptual Agreements

I would like to know where do I iniate the placement of the prenuptual agreement after both parties sign the formal contract and notary? Does it go in when I apply for the marriage license or it's submitted after,when both parties get married at Town Hall? Thanks for your Answer in advance..... Joe

Congratulations on your upcoming marriage.

The pre-nup is a private contract and requires no registration. (A notary is not required, but recommended.)

You don't do anything with it until and unles you get divorced.
