Legal Question in Family Law in New York

I am in the process of divorce and live in ny. I do have an attorney. I am wondering if there is any legal advice for divorcing with a child who has CML / Leukemia. (this is a very uncommon type of leukemia, one our 8 yr old daughter will have her entire life) extended health insurance? more than the 3 year maintenance I am being offered? He is pressuring me to get a full time job, we are in court over financials. My daughter's immune system is compromised, very difficult situation. Any advice my attorney might be missing?

Sincere thanks, Michelle

Trust your attorney. You only want to do this if you truly feel that the attorney you have is not doing a good job. If you start second guessing your counsel now, you are going into a very hot fire fight with a half loaded gun. If you are only unsure, sit with your attorney and discuss your fears and concerns. If you are unhappy or don't trust the attorney then call another to set up a consultation.

If you would like a free consultation you can call my office at 631-486-7800.

It is never a good idea to change horses mid stream. Talk to your attorney before doing anything.
